Saturas is a Water Mage in the New Camp and a central Chapter 3 quest giver. His most important remake role is starting and receiving the remaining Focus Stones quests.
Saturas location
Find Saturas in the Water Mages' upper quarters of the New Camp. The route climbs beyond the general living cave into the protected mage area.
Access can depend on faction and story state. If guards stop you or Saturas has no relevant dialogue, advance the main quest rather than trying to force the encounter.
When his quest unlocks
Saturas becomes central in Chapter 3. By then, the Ocean Cliff Focus has been recovered through the Orc Cemetery storyline, and he sends the hero to recover the four remaining Focus Stones.
He receives the stones after the individual routes are complete and advances the plan involving support from the Fire Mages.
Four remaining Focus routes
- Lester — Mountain Fortress.
- Gorn — Monastery Ruins.
- Milten — Troll Canyon.
- Diego — Stone Circle, also called Stonehenge in older guides.
- The remake swaps Diego and Milten compared with the original Gothic, so legacy walkthroughs can send you to the wrong companion.
Training information
Current remake databases agree that Saturas is associated with Mana training. Sources conflict on whether and how far he teaches Magic Circles, so this guide does not publish an unsupported fixed trainer table.
